The Leander High School Band proudly presents our 2024 marching band show, Shades, featuring a dynamic musical repertoire from a variety of genres and composers including Peter Gabriel, Katahj Copley, Coldplay/Jacob Collier, and original compositions by Ryan George, Andrew Markworth, and Rick Rodriguez.
Incorporating the iconography of sunglasses, “Shades” takes on the traditional “color story” on a vibrant journey from black and white, through a spectrum of yellows, oranges, pinks, reds, and blues, all culminating in a dazzling display of full color. Our visually striking show will explore new and innovative ways to use color on the marching field, all while delivering a dynamic and colorful soundtrack that is sure to captivate audiences and showcase the band’s versatility and creativity. Get ready for a spectacular fusion of music and visual artistry that will shine brightly from start to finish.
